An unforgettable PADI Open Water Adventure in Sharm el-Sheikh

We recently wrapped up a remarkable PADI Open Water course in Sharm el-Sheikh, and I’m thrilled to share our experience. From start to finish, everything was perfectly orchestrated by Ahmed’s team, ensuring a seamless adventure for our two children, ages 16 and 13. We were diving novices, but thanks to our outstanding instructor, Alaa Eldeen "Alladin", they emerged as certified divers full of confidence and enthusiasm. Each day began with a punctual hotel pick-up from Ahmed’s friendly driver. The short drive to the dive center provided an ideal opportunity for Alladin to outline the day’s lessons, offer insights into dive theory, and answer any lingering questions. At the dive shop, we were greeted by spotless, well-maintained equipment. Masks, fins, regulators, and buoyancy control devices were all in good condition, giving us complete peace of mind about safety standards. Alladin’s instructional style is both professional and warmly engaging. He introduces each core skill—mask clearing, regulator recovery, neutral buoyancy—in clear, concise steps, then watches patiently as each student practices until they feel entirely at ease. His calm demeanor and encouraging sense of humor transformed challenging drills into enjoyable learning moments. My teens especially appreciated how Alladin tailored his approach to their individual comfort levels, building trust with every session. Beneath the surface, Alladin’s expert guidance made our dives unforgettable. Over six exciting dives, we explored the vibrant coral reefs of Ras Mohammed, experienced the dramatic walls of Shark Reef, and witnessed the colorful beauty. Encounters with curious Jellyfish, Anemones, Moray eels, Lionfish, Octopus and even a majestic Leopard ray left us in awe of the Red Sea’s marine life. Alladin’s vigilant oversight allowed our youngsters the freedom to explore while ensuring their safety at all times. A special thanks goes to the rest of the team—our land and boat crew, gear technicians, and dive-shop staff—each one doing his job flawlessly and helping every detail run smoothly. This course was more than a fantastic training program—it was an exhilarating journey that sparked a lifelong passion for diving. Thanks to Ahmed’s impeccable organization and Alladin’s exceptional teaching, we can’t recommend this experience highly enough for any family seeking adventure in Sharm el-Sheikh.
