The PADI Scuba Diver Course in Sharm El Sheikh is a perfect option for beginners who want to become certified divers in just 2 days. It is a shorter version of the PADI Open Water Diver course and gives you the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to start diving safely.

Day 1 focuses on practical training, equipment preparation, and confined-water skills in the swimming pool, where you will learn and practice the basic scuba techniques with your instructor.

Day 2 includes 2 open-water shore dives at Ras Ghamila, our beautiful house reef in Sharm El Sheikh, with a maximum depth of 12 metres / 40 feet. This gives you the chance to practice your skills in real diving conditions while enjoying the Red Sea underwater environment.

After successful completion, you will receive your PADI Scuba Diver certification and can later continue your training toward the full PADI Open Water Diver certification.

How can you start?

Contact us to sign in and to get more information. You can get started by registering for Open Water Diver Online – this is called PADI’s eLearning option. The web-based system gives you the background information you need to dive safely and allows you to study at your own pace through an easy-to-use, interactive program. You only need to complete the first three sections but have a year to complete the whole program if you choose to go on to earn your PADI Open Water Diver certification. Another way is to start at the dive center and get the Open Water Diver TouchTM (a tablet app) or the Open Water Diver Manual. Contact us to enroll in the course, get your materials and start reading the book and watching the video. Your PADI Instructor will meet with you to schedule knowledge review sessions, confined water and open water dives.

Equipment

You learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank. The equipment you wear varies, depending upon whether you’re diving in tropical, temperate or cold water. Your PADI Instructor will explain the equipment you need and may suggest additional educational materials, such as the required logbook.
